Nobel laureates straddling law and literature

Nobel Prizes

It's Nobel Prize season. Evan Schaeffer's Legal Underground has posted a fun list of Nobel laureates in literature who have studied law. My favorite in the list is Maurice Maeterlinck, who evidently "demonstrat[ed] brilliantly his ineptitude for the legal career, having the happy defects that render a man absolutely unfit for the pettifogging quarrels and public counsel's speeches in the law court."
