El Muro tiene que caerse

All free people, wherever they may live, are pilgrims along the borders of this world, and, therefore, as a free person, I take pride in the words, Yo soy peregrino fronterizo.

With those words, Jurisdynamics invoked the spirit of John F. Kennedy, whose June 26, 1963, Ich bin ein Berliner speech remains a classic expression of American determination to engage the world on the best and most optimistic of terms.

Kennedy's Ich bin ein Berliner speech stands in stark contrast with the Secure Fence Act of 2006. Instead of tearing down walls in an effort to embrace the world, we are building walls in unthinking rejection of friends and neighbors abroad.

Las Palmas de Durango, El Muro
Jurisdynamics reader Dan Kowalski has suggested that the band, Las Palmas de Durango, is making tremendous musical and political progress by condemning El Muro in musical terms. "Music to my years," says Dan of Las Palmas' mastery of the banda genre. I agree. Escuche, disfrute, y aprende. Sin duda, El Muro tiene que caerse.

John F Kennedy was not only a wonderful man he was "remarkable". Sadly men like Kennedy are very few and far between.
